A story of a wooden chest

This isn't a long story but here it goes

chapter 1 (5 chapters all together.)

Once upon a time there was a little girl called Zoe it was her birthday and her sister Chloe decided to give her a old small carved chest . There was a special key for the chest with a red ribbon . Zoe decided to keep her chest by the foot of her bed. That night she went to bed and when she got up in the morning there was a thumping noise coming from the chest . She got out of bed. crouched by the chest. Turned the key . The Chest opened

OK so if been thinking and have come up with this . . .

As Chloe looked in the chest she realized it was empty so she threw it back to the foot of the bed . She kept wondering why her sister gave her this strange chest. So she decided to go and ask her .
"why did you give me the chest ? what kind of question is that? " Zoe mimicked her sister, "It was a birthday present duh. She replied.
" Yes but where from ?" Chloe demanded ."and don't mimic me !"
"From an antique shop the woman there wanted to get rid of it " Zoe replied
"Why ?" Chloe asked . With a hint of curiosity in her voice.
Zoe replied "She sold it once but the woman came back to the shop and complained"
"About what?" Chloe asked
"Well" said Zoe "This may sound weird , but she complained there was a thumping noise coming from the box "
"Chloe is something wrong"Zoe asked "you've gone pale all of a sudden"
"I heard a thumping noise coming from the chest this morning" Chloe said ." I'll show you"
Chloe and Zoe went upstairs to Chloe's Room and waited a bit in case the thudding noise started again . Nothing happened . The girls were about to leave when suddenly it started again. The same thudding noise . But it was different this . There was a voice.
They raced to the chest and opened it . Suddenly everywhere went dark. . . . . . . . . .

Zoe woke up , she tried opening her eyes but everywhere was still dark. She started panicking. She realized that Chloe wasn't there. All of a sudden she saw a light shining in the distance . She got up and started walking towards the light . As she got closer she could see the light was coming from a cave. She entered the cave and all of a sudden , to her astonishment a huge rock fell from the roof and blocked the cave entrance.

Zoe kept walking knowing that she couldn't turn back. Finally she reached three tunnels . She had to choose carefully which one to go through . All of a sudden she heard someone shouting her name . Over and over again . The voice came closer and closer . Who is it ?she thought , What does it want ?. She was to frightened to run . She just stood in one place. The voice was very close now and whoever it was had a light . There was no time she had to find somewhere to hide , and quick. before it was too late .

Zoe's heart was thudding quickly. She saw the shadow coming closer and closer. No she thought . The she saw a hand coming towards her . It grabbed her. Zoe screamed
"Sh,Be quiet said the voice". Zoe was shaking by now. She was so scared. But still followed the person. All of a sudden the cave started shaking . Zoe slipped and everything went blank.
She woke up . She was by a stream running through the cave. She remembered that she wasn't here before. Someone must have moved me she thought but Who?.
"Hello" she suddenly remembered that voice . She turned around quickly. There was a boy. Older than her.,
"Don't be scared" he said , "I've been trapped here for three weeks, I'm trying to find my sister, and you're trying to find yours"
Zoe nodded. Just the a bark came . She saw a small dog , it was a chocolate Labrador puppy. It came running towards her . "sorry , this is my sisters dog " he said . Zoe just smiled.
"were are you going " Zoe asked.
"We have to hurry and find your sister and mine before someone closes the chest again "He said . " and before IT gets to them ".he added
"IT" Zoe replied confused.
"Yes the chest will take them . into a black hole. When it closes. And this time it could take us too........

as my teacher would say "Its a cliff hanger" and i agree i LOVE it

Zoe followed the boy through to the tunnels.
"I'm Leon" said the boy
"I'm Zoe " she replied, "now which tunnel should we take?"Zoe asked
"Well not the center tunnel, but the other two, I'm not sure,. All I now one of the two will take us to your sister and ....."
"The other??" Zoe asked
"The other will trap us all in the chest" Leon replied.
Just then. the dog barked. Zoe and Leon turned around and saw him going through the left tunnel "Well I guess we'll be going through this tunnel. Leon turned on the his torch and he followed his dog through the tunnel. Zoe went after them . The three of them went on walking.They finally came to the exit . Zoe looked around . Leon walked on . All of a sudden the ground started shaking again . The tunnel and the path they took disappeared. There was no turning back. All of a sudden the ground stopped shaking, but as that happened, Zoe slipped. She held on to the side. Leon ran up to her. "Pass me your hand, I'll help you" he said.
"I can't reach." Zoe replied . Then she slipped and lost her grasp. Zoe fell ....

Zoe rubbed her head, still dazed from the fall, One thing she was certain of and that was this place or cave she was in was was full of traps she needed to avoid. the other thing was that she had to get back up and fast. She got up and started walking . She heard water flowing and went to investigate. She decided to follow the river. It went on and on till it came to two tunnels. There was a message sign above them with a picture of skull and bones on it . The sign read .
"Choose,but choose carefully which tunnel you take,
for one is the trap,and the other the escape,
By entering one, you shall drown in a lake
By entering you will find Leon and Jake"
Zoe had no idea what to do . she knew she had to find Leon and his dog Jake. But which tunnel was she to take ?. Then she thought to her self this must be a trick. If I follow the water it will lead me to safety. It probably wants me to take the other without the stream, because there is no proof that there's water there. She followed the stream into the tunnel...

she kept walking on and on. So far so good she thought. I'm still alive. then she heard a dog barking . She turned around and the floor went . she was sliding down , and down somewhere.
then she stopped. She got up and saw a wooden door . She opened it and there was Leon and Jake. She ran up to them . Leon turned around and smiled . All Zoe said was " we have to keep going". they walked on and on and came to a . Round shaped door. There was a message on the door it read , To find both your sisters , you must take the test. Therefore use this map to find them. As soon as Zoe took the map of the wall. The writing on the paper disappeared ;. they walked on and on following the route of the map. Then they came to another door , it was locked and needed a code to enter it.The map disappeared off the paper and there was a message on it instead . It was a riddle. The Question asked .. answer the riddle , and you will find the code . "What ????" Zoe said Divide thirty by half and add ten . What does that mean . " I got it Leon said " he put the code in and the door opened.
"Chloe!!" screamed Zoe, "Katie" said Leon

Heyy just in case your wondering why i write the story bit by bit . and no not because its a suspense story its cause its easier to write what you think is good that day instead of doing one long boring story .
